Story

Buster is a 14 month old chocolate lab who is always ready to play. He is very sweet and very high energy! We are looking to find him a new home after some medical issues have just made him too much dog to handle. He will need someone who is ready to give him plenty of attention and activity. He has played well with other dogs in the past, but can also get overexcited, depending on the dog. Buster is very smart and has had training, so he typically does well on walks (heel, stop, wait) and with basic commands (sit, down, etc.):

Story

Norman is a sweet boy. We acquired him through a mall puppy shop. I had no intentions of bringing a dog home but when she saw him he was just laying around. The staff let us know we were the only ones who had asked to see him amd he had been there longer than the other dogs. This broke my childrens hearts knowing no one wanted him so we took him home. Immediately norman exhibited some aggressive behavioral behavior (at 16 weeks and at the stern advice of our vet we put him in an intense training program (8 weeks) where he learned some good manners but as much as we love Norman we are starting to see he needs a home without children (my children are older ages 7-12) or other pets. Norman would be well suited with a owner who loves the outdoors and in search of a hiking companion. He stands about knee high, loves to just lay by your side, go for walks and is a big scardie cat.

Story

Mia is a sweet pup with a very loveable personality. She does wonderful with our kids and gets along great with our neighbors dogs. She is house trained and loves being an indoor dog with lots of time outside to run off her energy. She weighs about 35 pounds and is in perfect health. We are very sad to part with her but are relocating due to a parent's health issues and cannot take her with us. We have never had a single behavioral concern. Her Aussie personality really stands out!

Someone give this girl a chance. That's all she needs ... a legitimate chance. Ovira (pronounced 'Oh-Veer-uh') has a cute personality once she relaxes. She is playful with dogs and has shown some play with her trusted staff members as well. She grew up with minimal human interaction, in a basem*nt with over a dozen other neglected dogs and cats. Because of this, her animal-animal social skills developed wonderfully; However, this left her with a deficit when it comes to human interaction. She is nervous around people (which makes the shelter particularly scary) but she has NEVER snapped at a human despite her nerves (not even when receiving her intake vet work). Much like a cat, she will hide or avoid when there's company because 'three is a crowd'. I'm an easy keeper. - I am an alarm barker and will scare off intruders... which means my future home needs to learn how to introduce me to new people so that I am comfortable. - The shelter has a kiddie pool in the summer and I LOVE to lay down in it to cool off.
